Launching socials and meeting new artists

Hello! these past two weeks have been a hell of a ride! It's officially been two weeks since I launched my new TikTok and YouTube. Today I have officially launched my new Instagram to focus on my art. I can't comment too much on how I'm doing on Instagram yet, but I do have have some analytics on the others. 

On TikTok, we have grown to (at the time of writing this) 83 followers! I know, I know it doesn't seem like a lot in the day and age where a random dude in BFE has 5k. But, I can tell you right now, if 83 people where standing in this tiny studio yelling at me about how much they loved my art, I would have a heart attack.  

Some of my favorite people on Tiktok that I have met and have become mutuals with are:

• troy_doesart: is a Washington based artist who was one of the very first people to come across my FYP. I instantly fell in love with his style. His use of color and texture mesmerizes me. A lot of people are currently hyping up his painting with the girl and the bees, but personally, I have my eye on that octopus! 

• waywardsouthart: Recently I have wanting to try my hand at linocutting and print making. waywardsouthart was the first person who came up in my search for linocuttuing and I was blown away but how talented they are! Not only are they amazing at block printing, but they're an oil painter too! So far, they have only post a couple videos showing their paintings, but you can bet I'm sticking around to see more of them. 

• theoriginalartster: I was just scrolling the FYP one late night when one of Bri's videos came across me. It was this gorgeous painting of a flower with the eyeball as the center. I instantly flipped! On my easel in the other room was a WIP of a sunflower with an eyeball as the center! I commented to give her a head ups that I was not the next art thief and to please not think I intended to copy at all. Thank god they're a cool person because she came back telling me all was good and she loved my painting as well. We need more of that in the art community! The understanding, kindness and support that Bri gave in just one comment boosted me so much. 

Those a just a couple of the fellow artist I have met on my new TikTok journey. I'm hoping that by the end of the week I will reach at least 90 followers and 10k views (currently sitting at 9.3k). 

Also this week, I have completed one painting and have the concept art laid out for two more pieces. The piece I have created this week is named "The Eye of Allison" in honor of my sister-in-law Allison who turned 27 this week!

It's sort of like the Eye of Sauron, but horror-girl-pop? I honestly have no explanation for this. But the best paintings have no explanation, right? I will be listing the prints and original for this piece this weekend (even though we haven't fully launched yet).
